Trade finance fuels the real economy by enabling commodities trade. Recent changes to the regulatory landscape have created opportunities for non-bank lenders to take a more dynamic approach to financing the trade in commodities.
The approach adopted by Abalone Fincom Fund SP is to integrate the supply chain. We facilitate the flow of commodities by combining practical expertise with deep market knowledge and strategies tailored to meet the financial needs of commodities-market participants. Through our support for the commodities market, we create new opportunities for professional investors to generate wealth.
About us
Deep expertise in
commodities trading
We are experts in commodities trading. With years of hands-on, sector-wide experience – including physical and derivatives trading, logistics management, and structured finance – we now apply our skills and knowledge to support the commodities supply chain by providing liquidity backed by comprehensive risk management.
We do not operate like traditional lenders. Instead of direct lending, we use trading agreements to invest in the commodities-trade-finance transactions that keep the real economy moving. We provide finance while reducing operational and credit risks.
What we do
Supporting commodities markets through direct investments in trading transactions
We bridge the gap between investors and the commodities industry by working with a network of producers, importers, exporters, traders, and financial institutions. Our involvement covers all stages of the trade cycle.
Transactional finance
We structure finance around the specific needs of each transaction, providing liquidity for purchasing, producing, transporting, and distributing commodities.
Purchase & sale agreements
Purchase and sale agreements are central to our strategy. They provide a framework for each deal, setting the terms for the buying and selling of commodities across the various regions and stages of the supply chain. These agreements are inherently self-liquidating.
Risk management
We adopt a non-lending strategy, allowing us to retain title over financed goods. This approach ensures that, even in the event of non-performance, the financed commodities can be quickly liquidated, thereby protecting the investment.
